The creation of an avant-garde cosmopolitanism in Valery Larbaud and José Ortega y Gasset (1920-1930)

The article explains how the French writer, Valery Larbaud, and the Spanish philosopher, José Ortega y Gasset, shared the same conceptions of literary modernism in the interwar period, based on Ortega’s work: The Dehumanization of art. These conceptions are part of a literary cosmopolitanism which lays the foundations of different cosmopolitical projects, in the Kantian sense of the term.
