Translating Trésor des Fèves et Fleur des Pois for the Russian youth of the Silver Age

Natalya Manaseina published a translation of Trésor des Fèves and Fleur des Pois in the Russian children's magazine Tropinka in 1908. The translation of one of Nodier’s tales into Russian in a youth magazine was undertaken with two objectives in mind: adapting it to a young audience and adapting it to the contemporary Russian public, against the specific backdrop of the Russian symbolism inherent in the context of its translation.
