The question of intimacy in the relationship and exchanges that humans have with other animals can be an eloquent aesthetic figure. Far from the psychological analysis of a desiring subject, artists such as William Wegman, Luc Petton or Oleg Kulik dare, through very different practices, to show desirable and desired animals. All of them seem to ask this question: when proximity tends to a certain form of promiscuity and coexistence to a confusion of feelings, what can the representation of the relationship with the animal evoke and provoke?
