Valéry and Cioran are two iconoclastic writers, but sensitive to the aporias to which the question of destruction relates. This, although it is strongly present in the external world as in the depths of our interiority, cannot be set up as a universal law. Behind all nihilism, there is a creative will. A lucid artist must extract the aesthetic quintessence of destruction.
