Through a close reading of the theoretical texts of Dziga Vertov and Jacques Rancière, the article shows the political ferments in the conception of the image of the two authors. With the concepts of cine-skeleton (Vertov) and sentence-image (Rancière), the cinema becomes a place of recomposition of the duality between the verbal and the visual, opening onto a conception of the image as an operator of links.
