AB  - What is the auctorial position of those who “direct” photo-novels. By examining, in particular, the technical and aesthetic similarities and differences between the photo-novel and cinema, we ask ourselves what aspects of the director’s mindset and work are involved in photo-novelistic creation, including with regard to the recognition and legitimization of the genre. However, despite profound affinities, the mediums appear to be fundamentally distinct.
