AB  - In keeping with the literary tradition of the imaginary, Alain Damasio’s Les Furtifs and Miloš Urban’s Hastrman play with the isotopy of enchantment. At the same time, these stories assert themselves as ecological fictions. This article examines the modalities of imaginary construction when it is linked to a gothic unreality by showing how it constitutes an effective literary tool to question how contemporary man stands in nature and toward nature.
