AB  - The seven hundred or so “Jules Verne” streets that perpetuate the memory of the writer in France today in no way describe his political thought, but rather reflect municipal choices that are necessarily political in nature. These places of memory have ended up drawing the contours of a national homage whose fervor, since the 1980s, also correlates with the decomposition of republican toponymy and of the “memory-nation” (Pierre Nora). What does a “Jules Verne” street tell us?
