AB  - The article studies the representation of the investigation and the representation of spaces in the novel of József Kiss entitled Mysteries of Budapest in order to analyze the image that the novel offers of the Hungarian capital. It is a novel that continues in quite a faithful manner the genre to which its title refers, but also contributes to the formation of a new imaginary of Budapest.
