AB  - Under the communist-socialist regime, the second half of the 1960s marked a moment of transition: censorship was relaxed. The Albatros collection, which specialized in the popular novel and disappeared in 1990, at that time brought the Francophone and Anglophone detective novel to Hungary. Rooted in the literary and cultural context in which it was received, the genre made the laws of the market acceptable, though it did not garner literary recognition.
