Milan Kundera’s considerations on the “elementary possibilities of the novelist” serve as a starting point. In order to contribute to a ‘collective consciousness'’, Gary tells stories by 'meditating' on his novel and his characters. In its structure, La Danse de Gengis Cohn is an exemplary novel of his literary project.
