AB  - For Saint-John Perse, poetic vision is to formal composition (in images or in words) what flight is to the bird: it gives momentum and scope to an otherwise regular form. In the often “serial” and “dialectical” development of Oiseaux, these three Suites (VIII-X) comprise the poetic apex of the composition altogether.
