AB  - This paper explores the semantic and symbolic field of the expression “perfections du noir”, which dates back to Ungaretti’s Parisian period and appears in one of his French poems. It is said to have been taken from a 17th-century dyeing manual identified by the author, which nonetheless opens up the field of reflection, as intertextuality always goes beyond mere bookish reference.
