AB  - Based on Goffredo Parise’s reports from the United States, this paper explores the possibility that the literary act expresses a form of protest. In these reports, we witness a process in which the Darwinian-inspired struggle for survival is transformed into a struggle for identity, to which the author – using a writing style centered on perceptions – opposes the idea of the living body, made up of changing, unstable surfaces that are continually reorganized and recodified.
