AB  - This essay studies the place of the Codice diplomatico dantesco in a century of Dante studies, through three focuses: 1921 (Barbi), 1965 (Contini), and the recent period. The relationship to documentary sources has changed, in particular when we look at the links between the research’s areas, or at the many exchanges, including the political ones, between generations of researchers. The renewed interest in the study of archival sources has led the authors to review all the documentation concerning Dante and his family.
