AB  - An informed, fashionable, and intellectual reader who commanded the attention of those around her, Anne-Thérèse de Lambert was aware of the prescriptive role of her salon and her own discourse. She enjoyed expressing literary opinions in the fashionable social circles that she frequented in order to spread her modern ideas. Her correspondence shows us how she read literary history, influenced the reception of works, and conceived the literary creation of her time.
