AB  - This article discusses a few lampoons from the 1760s relating to the Jesuits. It stresses the difficulty of identifying pamphlets of a few pages, which are often poorly described by library catalogs. It shows the authorities’ inability to fight back against banned brochures with the example of those by Georges Crotonel, which attacked the archbishop of Lyon. It depicts the activity of a lampoon writer, Taupin d’Orval, who was imprisoned for publishing verses against the king.
