AB  - Author dictionaries are very diverse, whether in terms of their editors, the authors, or the approaches used to compile them. One factor to consider is the time elapsed between the dictionary’s conception and the life of the author it concerns. To analyze the array of strategies adopted, the parameters set out for defining the notion of literature, and the methods followed, a typology is needed. It is then necessary to draw comparisons between the way the author is dealt with in language dictionaries and general encyclopedic dictionaries.
