AB  - In Cyrano de Bergerac, three-quarters of the characters are male. They are divided into several groups that do not play a real role in the plot but serve as so many foils for the hero. If the father figures are almost absent, most of the male protagonists are Cyrano’s doubles, thus contributing to the unity of the play.
