AB  - How does one explain the phenomenon of petites revues—the emergence, at the turn of the twentieth century, of dozens of ephemeral periodicals, and the impact they had on culture? The transposition of the notion of a media ecosystem makes it possible to consider these journals not as isolated objects but as a system occupying a role in society at the end of the nineteenth century.
