AB  - La Jumelle noire is a collection of articles written between October 1933 and June 1938. With an interesting open-mindedness, they reflect on a wide range of shows, mainly theatrical ones. After discussing the eclecticism of this collection, this article studies the approach used in these columns and Colette’s style. I demonstrate that the critic’s stance is defined by various tensions: between her theater criticism and her own playwriting, and between the spontaneity of impressions and the lucidity of judgement.
