AB  - The aim of this article is to analyze Hoover's activity at the Paris Conference based on original documents. We first present the context of the Paris Conference. It is then the role played by Herbert Hoover in the provision of subsistence to Europe, and which earned him a panegyric from Keynes, which is analysed. The article finally addresses Hoover's criticisms of the Treaty of Versailles and the recommendation he addressed (in vain!) to Wilson in his memorandum.
