AB  - A new retrospective is offered here on the parallel evolution of Mikhail Bakhtin and his brother Nikolai, a refugee in France from 1920. These two brothers differed in their destiny (Soviet Russia and emigration), but they were akin to one another in their inspiration. The result is two nuanced readings of Proust (relationship to Bergson, chance and creation, the impasses of introspection).
