AB  - This article returns to the notion of “morsels” in the drafts of the work. It evaluates the role of morsels in the birth of the writing of la Recherche by seeing them as a work instrument for the writer. The morsels, while they disappear, bear the traces of a writing practice that consists above all of weaving connections and the perspective the writer brings to his own work of connection, wherein lies the trace of the work’s genesis, ensuring in the end the unity of the whole.
