AB  - This article studies two short stories by Proust, “Scipion Émilien à Carthage” and “Tibère et l’Astrologue Thrasylle,” handwritten (BNF) and not yet published or transcribed in annex. It establishes the characteristics of the anecdote, then studies these texts according to the order of rhetoric: the student’s work of amplification of the writings of Roman historians (inventio), the narrative dynamic (dispositio), and the signs of the writer’s style (elocutio).
