AB  - Reflecting the spirit of the baroque period, the motif of clothing ceaselessly evolves in Bossuet’s work. These metamorphoses can be observed in the stylistic and enunciative construction of speeches by the bishop of Meaux. This article analyzes how the motif of clothing, in accordance with Catholic dogma, oscillates between referential and metaphorical representation.
