AB  - In the 18th century, while the growing number of published texts makes Bossuet’s work a set of arguments and theological authorities both convenient and still relatively consensual in the Catholic milieu, the publishing of previously unpublished texts makes his authorship more fragile, by showing him a more ambivalent, or even enigmatic figure than one might have expected or hoped – which does not prevent him from entering the new literary Pantheon.
