AB  - Animals occupy a special place for Rachilde. Her preference goes to them since she believes in their superiority over humans. Based on a corpus of autobiographical works and her reviews in the Mercure de France, we propose to examine the relationship of the novelist to animals and the forms it takes in her writing, with a special attention to technical solutions, and to the position Rachilde places herself in, at the border of human and animal world.
