Their cosmological discourses, on the whole, claim to be “Christian” and remain faithful to traditional Platonic, Aristotelian and Ptolemaic cosmology. These French humanists also discuss the Copernican heliocentric thesis, condemn divinatory astrology and advocate a practical cosmological science.
