AB  - To gain a better grasp of the linguistic dynamics at work in Renaissance Europe, this ­contribution suggests a method originating in the Eurolab project (2010-2013): studying “laboratories” (printing workshops, war zones, classes, multilingual metropoles…) where, thanks to the ­concomitant presence of several languages, phenomena of experimentation, appropriation, and ­confrontation, and debates between languages (Latin and vernacular) can be observed in a privileged way.
