AB  - Based on the difficulties of identifying an interjection in medieval texts and the diversity of its uses, this study shows that the interjection can illustrate, as do many other terms, cases of ambiguity regarding the linguistic category to which it belongs and the notional domain involved. Thus, reflection on the interjection is comparable to other cases noted by linguists where a form may be inserted into alternative frames.
