AB  - Picard is a regional language of France in a collateral relationship with French, which makes its identification fragile. Its lexicon is essentially enriched by borrowing from French. However, other means of enrichment exist, notably the mobilization of its own morphological and semantic processes. These alternative processes reveal an effort by the most militant speakers to differentiate Picard from French, in order to create a “real” language.
