AB  - A prose work composed in the fifteenth century for Philippe le Bon, this late adaptation of the verse romance Florimont (12th century) allows us to study how formal transposition and historical distance shape the representation of the marvellous. Not only does the prose version reinforce the edifying dimension of its model by offering itself as a « mirror for princes », but it aligns itself more overtly with romance of entertainment by emphasising the marvellous episodes.
