AB  - Departing from the notion of the cycle and from the fantasmatic and imaginary dimension to which Durassian geography has often been linked, this article uses four texts, ­L’Empire français, Le Marin de Gibraltar, Les Impudents, and Emily L., to examine Durassian landscapes based on prior representations, whether these fall under the heading of documentary evidence or literature. The exploration of their characteristics brings into focus questions about writing and a textual itinerary.
