The representation of the body is examined in relation to a recurring phenomenon under a dictatorial regime: al-masirāt or pro-regime demonstrations. The subjects, forced to fill public spaces to celebrate the dictator’s twenty years in power, are represented as standardized and interchangeable bodies, where any singularity is diluted in the anonymity of a crowd blindly submissive to power.
