Likewise, not all of them are, even unintentionally, humorous. When they are, they mostly focus on the oppressed and are quite often pessimistic about impending changes, except for where gender relations are concerned. Intermediary powers are often underrepresented, with dominant powers attracting more attention, albeit always indirectly through the symbolism with which they are associated.
