AB  - Starting in the sixteenth century, Sufi movements developed the doctrine of the “Muhammadan Way” that places the mystical dimension of Muhammad at the heart of the disciple’s journey. The Tiğāniyya is part of this movement. Referring to the poetry of Elhadji Malick, this text analyzes the way he expresses his desire to travel for his spiritual journey to the holy sites of Islam and the Tiğāniyya, of which he was a master, as well as the way the wait for the mystical voyage is expressed.
