AB  - This study of four Arabic tales about childhood generally shows that childhood, as it is depicted in them, is a privileged observatory with a view of the world of adults, its vicissitudes and its constraints. Particular identities will be constituted in reaction to this, to build personalities from life choices that the narrative will often try to illuminate. The childhood narrative addresses a wide variety of sociopolitical themes and critiques society under cover of the innocence of youth and a more ingenuous awareness.
