AB  - Created in 2006, the play Bi-tvah Yerika (“­Nearby”) by Taher Najib won first prize at the Tel-Aviv monodrama ­festival Teatro Netto. Translated into English, French, and German, it met with success on numerous international tours. The author translates the play into Palestinian Arabic, a translation which partakes fully in the process of creation, as it does in the ­construction of its message, particularly in the specific ­context of the Israeli-Palestinian stage.
