AB  - This paper focuses on two articles published by the Syro-Lebanese intellectual Rūzā Anṭūn in her ­brother’s review al-Ğāmi‘a in 1907, during their stay in New York. She demonstrates to have a deep interest in working as a sort of mediator between Syrian women in the Arab world –in this case, Alexandria of Egypt– and the United States. Her texts are an attempt at analysing the situation so as to underline the strong personality of Syrian people in general and women, in particular.
