T3 - Francophone communities, n° 1 in Rencontres M1 - 272 DO - 10.15122/isbn.978-2-406-06239-4.p.0115 SN - 978-2-406-06239-4 SP - 115 EP - 134 AB - The first fiction from the Comoros in French depicted the harmful effects of a hasty revolution. Thirty years later, this historically oriented literature has given the way to literature that emphasizes social realities and deals with topics such as the dangerous border crossing between Anjouan and Mayotte, separatism, political muddle and impoverishment of the Islands. The paper stresses that the aesthetics of violence and protest now feature prominently in Comorian writing.
