AB  - This article analyses how political issues are handled in the writing procedures of Les Soleils des Indépendances, and shows how the narrativisation of history and in particular of political and social upheaval is achieved through constant reference and simultaneous subversion of the epic style in what is essentially a novelistic enterprise. This subversion is achieved through various ways which, beyond mere satire, aim to put into question the very foundations of any kind of discourse, and to shed light on customarily opaque areas of conflict. This bastardized writing may consequently offer the possibility of rearranging the “partage du sensible” (Jacques Rancière) in order to give the novel political impact.
