AB  - African road comics present a limited corpus, but this article advances the idea that in La Voiture c’est l'aventure (1987) by Barly Baruti, Mokanda Illusion (2012) by Mongo Sisé, Tempête sur Bangui (2015) by Didier Kassaï and Commissioner Kouamé (2017) by Marguerite Abouet and Donatien Mary, the road is both a metaphor for African history and a graphic projection of the crises of postcolonial mobility and cultural inversion of the landscape.
