AB  - Paul de Vivie, also known as Vélocio, runs the magazine Le Cycliste from 1887 to 1930. He writes articles in which he recounts his excursions and advocates the values he associates with bicycle touring. Attracting many devoted adepts, he extols the virtues of tourism conceived as a combination of a healthy lifestyle with the discovery of the territory and a fusion with nature. He also lays the groundwork for a social and political project in which bicycle tourism would play an emancipatory role.
