AB  - What common and shared relationship is there between film and the multiple authors from a publishing house? Verticales authors have little opportunity to express themselves on screen, to see their books adapted. This is because their texts deviate, for the decisionmakers, from the majority’s narratives. But on the intermedial level, the cinema is a figuration of or vector for the refusal of reality—less out of a will to delude oneself than out of unruliness about the state of things. Film calls on the narrator-spectator to remain vertical.
