AB  - Like most of Claude Simon's “visual” books, Album d’un amateur is a rare and little studied work. This article examines the questions of hierarchical relations that it raises: photography / literature, photo / caption. He first envisions it as an iconographic complement to the work, to then question the construction of its aesthetic autonomy through a very Simonian combination, where the network of links woven between texts and images and between texts, shows the invisible.
