AB  - From 1736 to 1755, Jean-François Séguier was Maffei’s secretary. Then, in France, he fostered a large network of correspondents. He was linked with the most influential Provençalists, with Parisian academicians and scholars, Provençal and Italian aristocrats. He himself took interest in medieval and modern Occitan Literature.
