AB  - This article follows the eye of Georges Bataille as a reader of William Blake. It seeks to identify the nature of the affinities between these two exceptional writers, as they are revealed in Bataille’s articles and books, in his notes as well as in La part maudite, a key work marked with the stamp of Blake. Many elements and themes from Bataille’s writing are present in his commentaries on Blake : the sacred, the significance of poetry, revolt, and also excess and exuberance.
