AB  - Les Fastes de l’Église is a poetic calendar which celebrates saint’s days. Each poem is based on an hagiography established by tradition ; the poet actualizes poetic genders which are suitable to each saint. Godeau used these genders before and he transfers to Les Fastes some patterns or some passages he wrote earlier (in eglogues, sonnets, hymns) and it’s difficult to classify Les Fastes and put it in a gender.
