AB  - This article focuses on the peasant influence in the life and work of Maurice de Guérin, and thereby seeks to define the poet’s relationship with nature. This analysis takes into account Guérin’s social background, the references to the peasant world in his texts, as well as the tension that marked his life between his aristocratic status and the modesty of his lifestyle.
